At a guess I would say that when 'Power of 10' processed the results they didn't find the required course measurement certificate for the event.

You wonder what prompted the check, 23 metres seems too little to have been picked up by a statistical analysis of the times and number of PBs and there is no way that Garmins could have raised any realistic suspicions.

Naughty one from the organisers of the Abbey Dash 10K , they changed the route slightly this year and it seems failed to get it re-measured prior to the event.

Annoyingly for Dan and Luke who both set 10K PBs at the Leeds Abbey Dash, the course has since been found to be 23 metres short
